DUNDEE -- Ruth L. Miller, 95, of Dundee, formerly of Sugarcreek, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at her residence after a period of declining health.

She was born Aug. 27, 1914, in New Philadelphia to the late Chalmers and Neola (Warner) Wallick, and married Jacob A. Miller on Aug. 15, 1933. He died April 8, 1993.

Ruth and her husband, Jacob, owned and operated Miller Transportation and J.A. Miller Wholesale Feed. She was also a cashier at the former Swiss Hat Restaurant, and had worked on the election board for many years.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Sugarcreek and the Pythian Sisters. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are children, Keith B. Miller of Riverside, Calif., Beverly J. McNutt of Dover and Helene (Herb) Torgler of Dundee; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; a brother, Elmore Wallick of Canton; and a sister, Gladys Roshong of Wheat Ridge, Colo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Leah Riggenbach, Loretta Floyd and Nettie Snyder; and a son-in-law, Sam McNutt.

Services will be Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. at First Mennonite Church in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Jayne Byler brochure printing officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
